I went to my local shopping centre with my friend today and had a most lovely time shopping and spending. I had already decided before I left that I didn't want to end up feeling guilty about how much I spend because me being the cheapskate that I am, I dislike spending money. So, because of this, I decided to take all of the money that I was prepared to spend, and have a wonderful time shopping!
And I think that I actually got an awful lot! Go sales!
First of all, I went to Superdrug. I'm going through a bit of a phase at the moment of Makeup Revolution pallets, which are absolutely amazing, and so I just couldn't resist buying one more - especially because this one was reduced! The Pleasuredome pallet was only £4, and I thought that it was a really nice mix of beautiful nudes and a few slightly brighter more out there shades. I am looking forward to using these, because I am using nudes to death at the moment, and am quite ready to start incorporating a little more colour!
Next, I went to Primark (let the celebrations start!). I bought this really nice causal light shirt with yellow sleeves (which I was drawn because yellow is my favourite colour). It was just really comfy and I don't actually have a huge range of casual tops that aren't pyjamas, so I thought that I am probably going to get a lot of wear out of it, and for £5, it really wasn't that bad! Fun fact though, I am actually wearing it as I type this!
Lastly from Primark I bought a little midi skirt (because I'm absolutely OBSESSED with midi skirts at the moment!) I'm not entirely sure about this, because I don't really know what to wear with it, and I'm not sure about the pleats... However I do have a little vision of me wearing it with a little black crop top I own and my leather jacket as a slightly more formal outfit, perhaps for autumn? Mind you, it was on the Primark sale (yes, that is the best thing in the entire world) and according to the label it had been cut down from £10 to £5, which I thought was quite a good reduction. When I got to the tills however, I found out that it was actually only £2!!!! Absolute bargain!
Next I went to H and M, where I unusually didn't find a huge amount that I liked. By this point I had actually done something quite foolish and made a bit of a bet with myself that I would have to buy at least one thing from each shop that I went into, in order to try and beat my cheapskate disorder. So because of this I bought this rather iffy purchase of a £6 sweater type jumper. The colours are quite me, so I think that I will get some wear out of it, but now that I'm reflecting I don't think I really bought it for the right reasons... *guilty face*!
I then went to New Look, somewhere that I really haven't had much success with for the past few years. I have to admit, I don't really like the main bit of the shop (most of it is a little out of my price range), but the teens section is really really good! I am a little too big for most of the stuff there, but some of the stuff I can fit in to! I bought this shirt which I really wasn't expecting to like, and only took in to try on with a skirt that I didn't end up buying. However, I really really liked it! It was £12.99, and I'm really looking forward to wearing it!
And then my friend persuaded me to do something that I've never done before. I went into Topshop. And because of this bet that I had made with myself, I headed straight for the sale rail, and founded this little cropped (very cropped) dotty top, that I really liked. It was only £6, and I'm now a very proud owner of Topshop clothing! Which is something that I will be bragging to absolutely everyone!
Then, feeling quite elated by my Topshop purchase, I thought that I would push the boat out even further and go into Zara for the very first time! Tucked away at the back of the shop were 50% off sale rails, where I honoured my bet and purchased this top that I really like. It's black and cropped and it's quite structured, with little pointy shoulders that make me feel like a dragon for some reason. It is also really textured with a ribbed kind of pattern on it, which I thought was a bit different. And being quite possibly the cheapest item in the store at £5, I was most chuffed! I am now the owner of Zara clothing as well!
So that is my little (well not so little) spring shop. I had a huge amount of fun today with my friend (shout out to her, you know who you are!) and I'm very much looking forward to wearing all of my lovely new clothes!
See you soon!
