Bourjois and Maybelline haul

I went to the post-Christmas but pre-New Years makeup sales in Superdrug. Well, when I say sales, I just mean that I had more money than usual, so everything seemed slightly cheaper. Plus, there were a few 3 for 2s and free product promotions, which I very much enjoyed indulging in!

First of all I went to Bourjois, where there was a 3 for 2 promotion on. I have actually never shopped at Bourjois before, but I have heard so many great reviews and have been meaning to for a long time.

The first thing I bought was the Helathy Mix Serum, Gel Foundation, in the colour Light Vanilla (51). I have heard so many great things about this foundation and it seems to be in everybody's makeup bags. So far, I have only used it once, but one of my favourite things about it is that it smells so nice, and different to the typical foundation.

The next thing I bought was another foundation, because you can never have too many! I got the Air Matte, Undetectable Matte Finish Foundation, in the shade Rose Ivory (01). I think this is fairly new, and I haven't heard to much about it, but so far (from the twice that I have worn it) I love it. It feels really light on the face, and also has a lovely smell. This one is just really fresh, and wakes you up a little bit in the morning.

I then decided that I should take a look at the classic bronzer staple, and see why everyone loves it so much. It is for that reason that I bought the Highlighter and Universal Tan (???) Kit in the shade 55, which also happens to be chocolate scented. I know that this bronzer is a high street favourite of so many people, so I wanted to kill two birds with one stone and get the highlighter at the same time. So far, I have found this shade a little too orangey for my skin tone, and I'm not that impressed by the highlighter. Sorry if I just broke your heart! However, I am going to continue to use it, and I hope I'll be able to fall in love with it and join the gang! Watch this space.

Then, as well as the 3 for 2 deal, there was also a free eye shadow palate up for grabs, which I instantly fell in love with. The Nude Smokey Eye shadow Trio has instantly become one of my new favourites, with beautiful blushed nudes that blend so well and last amazingly as well. They are nudes, so they don't do much except add a bit of shimmer, but I love the highlighter - it works wonders!





Now, onto the Maybelline part of my little spree, which was where there was also a 3 for 2 deal!

I started with buying The Eraser Eye, Instant Anti Age Concealer in the shade light. Now I know that being a teenager, I'm probably not the target market for anti ageing concealers, but as I was in need of a new one, I thought that I should have a go. I have also seen that this is at the top of Superdrug's most recommended concealers, and its also a very different application style to all of the other concealers that I have tried in the past, so I thought it would be fun to try something new!

I then bought the Master Ink, Matte Liquid Eyeliner. The only liquid eyeliner that I have and still use is my rubbish MUA £1 one, so I think that I was long overdue for a replacement. So far, I have actually been very impressed. I have found that it has lasted all day, and has been very easy to apply.

I then decided to treat myself to something for my lips. I don't tend to wear a lot of lippy, preferring to go for nudes that the bright colours. But I saw the Colour Drama, Intense Velvet Lip Pencil, in the colour Nude Perfection (630), and really liked the look of it. So far, I have found it to be beautiful and really long lasting. I would very much like to go and get some more in more colours (maybe push out my comfort zone and get a nice cherry red!).

Maybelline was also having a free product promotion, which I didn't want to waste, obviously. I got this Colour Show Nail Varnish Duo, which, if I'm perfectly honest, I'm not that interested in. I don't really do a lot with my nails, what with it being against the school rules, and me being terrible at it, and absolutely hating my hands and nails, I try to draw as little attention as possible to them. However, I know that I always have it there in my draw if ever I need it!
